In the few months that I've been "sitting" around here thinking, not only have I discovered I'm not along in my thinking, but I wonder now how many people I personally know are lurking or even members here too.

I wonder this too. I also sit and look around when I'm at the Assembly Hall or Kingdom Hall and I wonder just how many of these people have all kinds of "skeletons in their closet".

if you're still in for the sake of others, how's it going?

what specific plan are you working on to get your loved ones out so you can leave, too?

how is that plan progressing?

I'm going to diligently serve the congregation, sell more books, neglect my family and give rousing talks that vindicate JW doctrine. I'm going to do this until one day I finally snap and end up in a padded cell. Because, like Neil Young sang, "It's better to burn out than fade away."

Oh it's going great! I've never been happier! I LOVE sitting through meetings feeling like a complete tool for wasting yet another 2-3 hours of my life listening to a moron drone on about something that has no relevance or handing out magazines that only end up in the householders kitchen trash can before you reach the end of the driveway.

tuesday night, i drove to a couple of older sister's homes, and dropped off their magazines, and kindom ministries.

thursday night, i went to the meeting and cleaned and locked up the building.

i also dropped someone off who earlier recieved a ride to the hall but their ride couldn't come back to take them home.

A baptism question for Morbidzbaby (and the rest of ya'll).....

i read morbidzbaby's comment on the post http://www2.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/206838/1/a-question-to-the-ex-jws were she said that she got baptized "hoping that it would sort everything out".

this got me thinking about the whole jw ritual of baptism and dedication.

i look back and recall that i never privately "dedicated" myself to anything or anyone before taking the "dip".. the wt teaching is that a person should privately dedicate (via prayer) themselves to jehovah before publically going through the ritual.
